Dating back over 5000 years, Ayurveda is considered to be the most ancient medical science for body and mind. Ayurvedic medicine aims at avoiding serious diseases by trying to overcome unhealthy habits with a healthy lifestyle. The daily diet is very important in this regard.
Whoever is already a vegetarian or would like to become one will learn how to eat a healthy diet following the principles of Ayurveda and in harmony with western culture. Participants will receive a further training certificate upon passing the final examination.
The intensive course take place in combination with the yoga vacation
programme: You will take part in one or two asana and pranayama classes, as well as the morning and evening meditation.
Swamis and instructors of the International Sivananda Yoga Centres teach the yoga and meditation components of the Ayurveda intensive courses.

The rooms are equipped with wood furniture, health mattresses, wooden floors, shower, toilet, hairdryer, telephone and radio. Most rooms have a balcony. Finnish sauna, low-temp sauna, free parking.
Should the eco-hotel be booked, we can arrange accommodation in single and double rooms within walking distance at nearby guest houses.
No matter where your accommodation, all meals will be in Hotel Florian.

Admission Qualification
Prior knowledge of Ayurveda, yoga and meditation are advantageous but not a prerequisite.
Language
The courses will be taught in English with simultaneous translation into German. Other languages on request.
Rules
1. Participants are expected to take part in all Ayurveda and yoga activities.
2. We cannot accommodate special dietary needs.
3. Meat, fish, eggs, alcohol, cigarettes, coffee, black tea and drugs are not allowed.
What to bring
Yoga mat, meditation pillow. All these are available
in the Retreat House Boutique or in our online-Shop.
Also bring blanket, paper and pen, torch, warm and comfortable clothing,
slippers, comfortable shoes for hiking, swimsuit.

1. Cancellation before the start of the course: A credit note for the full amount of the course will be issued, minus a 50 Euro administration fee.
2. Leaving the course: A credit note for the full amount of the course – minus the days present in the course – will be issued minus a 50 Euro administration fee.
3. The credit note will only be issued two to four weeks after the course completion date and will not be issued at the course location.
4. Credit notes are non-transferable and can only be used by the individual whose name appears on the credit note. Credit notes are valid for one year and can be used in any Sivananda Yoga Center or Ashram.
Please note: Credit notes cannot be applied to boutique purchases. In Reith (Austria), the credit note cannot be applied to room and board fees.
It is recommended to sign a travel health insurance policy at your travel
agent.
