Yoga Open Classes

The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Retreat House offers yoga vacations, yoga courses and open classes throughout the year. Here you can learn yoga postures, proper breathing techniques, relaxation, diet and meditation in a calm and peaceful environment.

A basic yoga class consists of different stretching exercises (asanas) where physical and mental tensions are released, and endurance, strength and flexibility are developed. Proper breathing exercises increase energy and vitality while guided relaxation techniques help create a basis for inner peace.

Free Yoga Class

Each Monday, 7pm- 8pm, in the Schoolhouse in Reith (behind the church), except in the school holidays. Yoga excercise, breathing and relaxation are practiced. The effects of yoga exercise are explained. It is possible to begin at any time.

Open Yoga classes

Mondays - Sundays: 8am - 9.30 am and 4pm - 5.30pm
All levels from beginners to regular practitioners are welcome to join the open classes. Instruction and corrections in the yoga postures and breathing exercises will be given.

Private class 60 minutes: 60 €

Registration by telephone possible.
Please bring comfortable loose-fitting clothing. Cotton is preferable. We recommend that you do not eat for at least two or three hours before a class. Yoga mats and blankets are available.

the Yoga boutique

The Yoga boutique stocks a selection of books, tapes, CDs, clothing, yoga mats and a range of other items relating to the study and practice of yoga and meditation.

Arriving from Kitzbühel:
Upon arrival in Reith keep driving until you reach the village fountain. Turn right opposite the fountain and follow the signs for: Sivananda Yoga Seminarhaus. The reception is located in the Yoga shop.
