Yoga as a Lifestyle - How to change your brain and expand your mind

Yoga as a Lifestyle – How to change your brain and expand your mind

Thu., 25 July 2019 – Sun., 28 July 2019

In Reith, Tyrol, Austria

Further Education Course with Cordula Interthal (Chandrika), gynaecologist, Ayurvedic therapist and Sivananda Yoga teacher, Munich.

Certificate of participation for 34 teaching units of 45 minutes each

For a long time and in ever greater numbers, modern scientific studies have been applied to the influence of yoga on our mental and physical health, as has always been handed down by the yoga masters and scriptures. It is no longer just yogic knowledge that the brain is able to change through our thinking, action and external influence: it can reorganize and change its structure and function.

In this course, we will explore the yogic and scientific foundations of mental and physical health, especially the effect on the brain, in practical workshops and vivid power point shows: new nerve cells develop, the connections between nerve cells become stronger, brain regions become larger and the brain is protected against aging processes. This strengthens our ability to cope with stress, concentrate, awareness, body awareness, recognition and control of our emotions, memory, compassion and empathy, and our immune system. In addition, we learn how classical yoga practices can prevent and alleviate diseases ranging from depression to cancer. The goal of this course is to inspire yoga teachers and practitioners to deepen their practice and broaden their horizons with knowledge of the scientific effects of yoga practice, which has already penetrated into health care.
