How our lifestyle affects our body, mind and genes
With Chandrika (Cordula Interthal)
Gynaecologist, Ayurvedic therapist and yoga teacher at the Sivananda Yoga centres, co-author of the new Sivananda Ayurveda book
Saturday/Sunday, 24/25 April and Saturday/Sunday, 1/2 May
You are what you eat? You are also what your grandparents ate! Ancient yogis have long known about our intergenerational connection and our place in it. Our lifestyle is the key to a happy, healthy life and it even connects us through the generations. We will explore the genetic, epigenetic and molecular mechanisms of health, wellbeing and happiness and how they might inspire us to live in in harmony with our own nature. How does our environment affect us? Is our DNA our destiny? How does our body know what is the right thing to do? Find out how your body and mind interact with your environment and how deeply connected we all are on a molecular level. You might be more in control of your mind and body’s wellbeing mechanisms than you think!
