“Posture is mastered by releasing tension and meditation on the Unlimited.”
The Hatha Yoga Pradipika on Pranayama
“When the breath wanders, i.e., is irregular, the mind is also unsteady. But when the breath is still, so is the mind, and the yogi lives long. So one should retrain the breath.”

“Pranayama is regulated by place, time and number, and becomes progressively prolonged and subtle.”
