Online course: The play of the Divine Mother – legends and stories from the Yoga scriptures

Thu., 8 April 2021 – Thu., 29 April 2021
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (CET)

“Devi is the Mother of all. She is Nature Itself. The whole world is Her body. She runs this world show. The Mother’s Grace is boundless. Her mercy is illimitable; Her knowledge infinite; Her power immeasurable; Her glory ineffable; and Her splendour indescribable.” Swami Sivananda

Shakti/Devi or the Universal Mother is the cosmic energy that gives and maintains life. She is the dynamic force that creates, nourishes and protects all beings. We depend on the Divine Mother for success in every part of our life: good health, fulfilment of our material needs, a high level of vital energy, a keen intellect, a serene, happy mind and Moksha (Self-Realization). The Divine Mother represents also absolute, unconditional love – as Her eternal children She forever loves and accepts us as we are.

Besides stories and wisdom teachings, this course will also include the practice of chants, sacred mantras and meditations on the various manifestations of the Divine Mother.

The sacred scriptures „Devi Mahatmyam“ and „Devi Bhagavatam“ will serve as main inspiration for the stories, but legends from the Yoga tradition will be included as well.
