Yoga and Mountain Magic - Energy Spots in the Kitzbühel Mountains

Sun., 21 August 2022 – Fri., 26 August 2022

In Reith, Tyrol, Austria

Some places give the feeling of immediate well-being.

We pause on hikes at places rich in energy, experience nature directly and draw strength from precious moments.

A energy spot might be an old tree, a special rock formation, a chapel or a panoramic vista.

Kitzbühel Horn peak

In the early morning, we take the gondola up the Kitzbühel Horn to experience the sunrise in a meditative manner, when the sky slowly turns bright orange.

Experience an unforgettable 360° view at the summit of the Kitzbühel Horn.

Hike to the mighty Gschwand tree

High above Kitzbühel, in the middle of the forest, stands a huge, ancient spruce, 43 meters high with a trunk circumference of around six meters. The widest reach of the branches is seven meters. In 2003 the Gschwand tree became a natural monument. The mighty spruce was once a solitary spruce that used to serve cattle that preferred to stay outdoors as an umbrella against the midday heat. The Gschwand tree can be found above Malernalm among other spruce trees.

We enjoy the tranquility that radiates from this energy spot with the century-old spruce.

Hike to the Gmail Chapel

High above St. Johann in Tyrol, this idyllic chapel is enthroned on a rocky outcrop. The chapel name comes from the German word for painting, for in former times a painting of the Virgin Mary was placed here.

The idyllic chapel can only be reached on foot via a well-paved hiking trail. This leads from the district of Hinterkaiser in St. Johann in Tyrol, past the hermitage on a forest path with many clearings. An inscription says: “A place of stillness in the storm of time.” Here you can indeed quickly find peace, enjoy the view of St. Johann and the Kitzbühel Horn and forget the time.

This moderately difficult hiking tour takes about 1 hour to climb.

The choice of excursion depends on the weather and on how many cars are available for getting there.
